RMM+ and SB Service work together in the fight to ensure the ice cream in danish amusement parks to create a successful summer for you and your family
The idyllic summer is secured
Are there three such inseparable things like summer, sun and a delicious ice cream?
Combine them with a fun day with family and friends at an amusement park, you then have the recipe for success. Children's laughter, happy faces and a perpetual desire for this moment never to end.
But what if something goes wrong and the ice disappears from the equation?
The idyllic picture suddenly shatters and holiday fun disappears, leaving only disappointed children. Then it is nice to know that firms like SB Service are set to the task. SB Service has for two years made sure that the ice cream supply in three Danish amusement parks worked impeccably throughout the season.
Reefer containers and RMM+ to improve logistics and economics
The Danish ice cream producer Frisko, who is part of the Unilever group, has for some years been working on solutions to improve the ice cream logistics to the parks. Frisko wanted a solution where they did not have to deliver ice cream four times a week, in order to improve both logistics and economics.
The solution was to place a reefer container in each park, delivered by Alpha Containers who contacted SB Service for them to manage the project. The reefer container contains a stockpile of ice cream, thus reducing the number of deliveries to once a week. However Frisko strict quality standards required a correct temperature control to ensure the ice cream quality. When Alpha Containers owner Tina Ruskær assigned SB Service to this task, it was under the conditions that SB Service choose a product that was reliable, reasonable price and accurate enough for ice cream.
No damaged ice cream because of the top professionel technique
The manager of SB Services, Søren Bruun didn't hesitate to choose Global Container Efficiency's newest product in the field monitoring, the RMM+.
The RMM+ was installed in each container and interfaces direct to the reefer container controller and forward all temperature readings and alarms to Johnson Controls Global Monitoring Server via a GRPS data connection.
"In case of any machinery malfunction or change in temperature I will be notified immediately on my mobile phone. The technique behind make sure I can monitor for every hour that passes. We can therefore manage to respond before the ice cream is damaged. This monitoring solution has helped Frisko save two batches of ice cream this year, with an estimated value between 35.000 and 50.000 USD per batch. " states manager of SB Services, Søren Bruun.
Last time something went wrong the SB Service received a service message at 11:01 p.m. Saturday night. "Temperature out of range". The doors of the container in one of the amusement parks had not been closed properly and SB Service acted immediately.
By responding to the problem in time, the batch of ice cream was saved in good condition. Due to RMM+'s detailed and instant reporting and SB Service's professionalism, there is always quality ice cream for children and their families in the Danish amusement parks.
SB Service and RMM+ - true heroes.
